What is Pharmacy First Scotland?
Pharmacy First Scotland is a service provided by your local Community Pharmacy to provide you with advice and medicines for the most common minor ailment conditions.
The service will allow patients the right care to the right condition without seeing the GP.
Some conditions covered in the Pharmacy First are listed below;
- Athletes foot
- Backache
- Constipation
- Eczema
- Hay Fever
- Head Lice
- Nasal Congestion
- Sore Throat
- Warts and Verruca
Further services are available such as;
- Impetigo
- Urinary Tract Infections (women only)
- Shingles
- Skin Infections
- Hayfever
If the pharmacist feels it is better for you see your GP, they may refer you to get the medication.
